I like to think of myself as a bit of a liquid lipstick connoisseur, like a fine wine, um, they come in varying shades of. okay, scratch that. Liquid lipsticks are HUGE right now and come in all different textures, hues, staying powers. One of my favourite formulations also happens to be a drugstore product too and they have just launched some of the dreamiest colours EVER.

The Huda Beauty Liquid Matte and the recently launched Nykaa Matte to Last Liquid Matte Lipstick are two of the most high selling brands today in India.Some of the popular shades from the Huda Beauty range of liquid lipsticks are Bombshell, Icon, Trendsetter & Vixen whereas the Nykaa Matte to Last Liquid lipsticks feature 10 shades (Mishti, on. This creamy matte lipstick features high colour payoff in a no-shine matte finish. The perfect matte formulation of the iconic product that made MAC famous. Matte lipstick is the velvety look to the lips that really stands out with a bold statement, easily stopping people in their tracks. It may not be the easiest look to pull off, but with the wide range of colors available, and if done right, you'll look positively flawless.

Sleek Makeup launched their Matte Me Liquid Lipsticks last year and I quickly got obsessed with Birthday Suit and Fandango Purple (see them in action on my youtube tutorial here) and sort of just dismissed all the other shades then and there.

Luckily they cottoned on to how good these products were and went back to the drawing board to release 5 new 'trendier' shades this summer. I've swatched the lot and my honest opinions are below.

I kind of love that they launched these in summer yet the colours really aren't your typical 'summer' palette. It's actually a relief because most super bright, girly hues dont really do it for me. I definitely prefer a more sultry and chic pout 365 days of the year.

Velvet Slipper

I would probably place Velvet Slipper as my joint 2nd favourite of the 6 new Matte Me launches. It's a rich Mauve toned, reddy lipstick. Basically purple and red smushed together and looking waaaaay trendy. I love the cool tone too, it's dark but without looking too dark and nighttime-y (not a word, but you know). It wasn't too hard to get this an even solid colour.

Shabby Chic

Matte Me Lipstick Shades Swatches

This shade is BOMB, o.m.g mauve.com with a dash of grunge. It's a nude base mixed with a splash of lilac. Easy to build and to get opaque due to the lighter colouring of this formula. Love it for those greige/grunge makeup looks that are so so hot right now.

Fired Up

At first I thought this would be really similar to the Mary Jo K from Kylie Cosmetics (worn here). Although the colour is a super sumptuous, rich red hue with cool tones, the formula and application didn't live up to my favourite red liquid lipstick, Mary Jo K. As you can see from the pics some there is a slight patchiness to the lips, nothing too noticeable but still not a perfect application. I think this could potentially be counteracted by using a lip liner all over before applying for more even coverage.

This is the most summery shade of the 6 new Matte Me's. Bittersweet is a coral nude for girls that can't wear/don't like coral. Thats me!! I always feel kinda trashy wearing coral lips so this was an amazing find as the shade is slightly cooler and more ruddy peach/pink that spanking orange coral. It is also the easiest and most even textured formula to apply of the lot.

Old Hollywood

I had so much hope for this colour, as in the bottle it looks like a true, deep, blood red! So vampy, so provocative! Despite the bad press they've had, LimeCrime are the only liquid lipsticks I've tried that have succeeded in creating dark formulations that aren't patchy. This has all the promise of a dupe of my fav Limecrime liquid Lipstick, Wicked, but instead came out so patchy and temperamental 🙁

Vino Tinto

This shade is so strikingly similar to Old Hollywood but when held to the light has a tad more berry/blackness to it. Again the formulation is hard to work with but I tried to speed up and get it all on quickly before it started getting tacky and transferring between my two lips. The shade is gorgeous but again, too difficult to use. I'm hoping to try and make this work better over a full mouth of lip liner.

What Matte Me shade is tempting you?

'Makeup Art Cosmetics', is what M.A.C stands for and what else does it stands for?

M.A.C stands for quality and textures together. If you are fond of makeup and always go for quality makeup then, you are must familiar with M.A.C. One of the world's leading cosmetic brands is a symbol of luxury.

The brand is famous for its diverse products with adorable shades of each one of the product. The matte lipsticks of the M.A.C give fine, creamy finish and are long-lasting.

I bought some of the M.A.C matte lipsticks and found them good. I am addicted to some of the brand's shades and present you my experience with the M.A.C matte lipsticks.

Packaging:

The product comes in a metallic black body with a sturdy black cap that is good enough to make it travel-friendly. When applying the lipstick, I did not face any pulling, it is smooth.

Matte Formula:

The matte finish is creamy and there is no shine in the shades, that make some of the shades a bit pasty. Places that unlock laptops near me.

Staying Formula:

As, for the staying time, it persists well for 4-5 hours.

My Favorite Shades:

PLEASE ME, is my choice from the M.A.C matte lipsticks. The long-lasting smooth pink shade gives a fresh look to lips. It goes for every skin tone, but, for dusky tone, there is a need to use a liner of the same color to avoid a whitish look. I loved it because I always go for light shades.

The other shades available are also opaque, rich and apply consistently. The nude shades from the M.A.C matte lipsticks are unique in a sense that they lack conventional undertones and give a real look. Kawasaki kx80 87 manual. It felt a little heavy but, never felt patchy to me.

Quality:

The M.A.C is a brand for which there is no need to be worried about quality. It worth its price.

MAC Matte Lipstick 'ROCK RED' Logitech wireless keyboard and trackpad.

It is a classic red shade with a creamy formula and no shine matte finish.

MAC Matte Lipstick 'PLEASE ME'

The 4-5 hours long-lasting smooth pink shade gives a fresh look to lips. It goes for every skin tone, but, for dusky tone there is a need to use a liner of the same color to avoid whitish look. I loved it because I always go for light shades.

MAC Matte Lipstick 'MARRAKESH'

The rich brown color is a M.A.C treat for brown lovers. It is a non- shine matte finish with orange undertone.

MAC Matte Lipstick 'NATURALLY TRANSFORMED'

This nude shade is my favorite among all the M.A.C matte lipstick shades. It is long-lasting and highly moisturizing. Skin tones that cannot hold pink nude shades, this one is a perfect shade. Give it a try!

MAC Matte Lipstick 'HEROINE'

It is a beautiful violet shade. It is a new addition in M.A.C matte lipsticks with a creamy formula that make your lips soft and agile. Medium to full coverage can last for 5-6 hours.
